Trey Smith, a redshirt junior running back has graduated and intends on transferring to another school for his final season of eligibility.
Jody Demling of CardinalAuthority.com was the first to report the news.
Smith had multiple opportunities to start at running back for the Cards in 2018, but unfortunately couldn’t stay healthy. He was sidelined for the final three games and missed a total of five.
The Mississippi native finished the season with 263-yards on fifty carries and four touchdowns.
Smith could’ve been a nice fit in Scott Satterfield’s system, but I’m sure he’ll be looking to transfer somewhere with a less crowded backfield.
Hassan Hall and Colin Wilson are expected to be the top options for Louisville at running back in 2019.<
