The relationship between Tim Fuller & Brian Clifton: Brian Clifton, former agent and current director of national AAU power “D-One Sports”, has a very strong friendship with new Louisville assistant coach Tim Fuller. Before fuller was hired, Miller had completely taken Louisville off the list of schools he was considering, but as of now most sources are saying Miller will likely decide between Louisville and Baylor.
Adidas: As shady as it may sound the brand of gear that a school is sponsored by has a whole lot to do with recruiting. 90% of all the big time AAU programs in the country are usually sponsored by Nike or Adidas. Most kids try to pick a college that shares the same brand as their AAU program. Just because a player’s AAU team wears Nike that doesn’t mean he will automatically go with a Nike school, but more often than not, that is how it works. Similar to the AAU scene, most BCS conference schools are either sponsored by Nike or Adidas and for some reason or another Miller is really turned off by Nike. Quincy was invited to attend the NIKE Lebron James Skills Academy, last month and declined the invitation and played with his AAU team in Indianapolis at the ADIDAS Invitational AAU tournament. It was at that point where the media started to report that the two favorites for Miller were Louisville and Baylor…Both Adidas schools.
Deuce Bello: Bello is the best friend of Miller and is also being recruited heavily by Louisville. Miller recently moved to High Point, NC and will live with Bello and play alongside him at Westchester Academy. Both have said they would like to play together in college as well, but the only two schools they share an interest in is Louisville and Baylor.
