When reading the scouting reports on Donovan Mitchell prior to the draft, his improved outside shooting was mentioned quite a bit. Mitchell was somewhat of an average shooter as a freshman, but in his second season at UofL he took a huge step forward.
As a freshman Mitchell shot just 25% from outside and as a sophomore his percentage shot up to %35. In a workout shortly after being drafted by the Utah Jazz, Mitchell simply couldn’t miss. His form actually looks even better than it did during his sophomore season.
If anyone wants to know what scouts mean when they say a guy shoots an easy ball, Donovan Mitchell is demonstrating. pic.twitter.com/BakOBItH8n
