As expected Scott Satterfield and the Louisville Cardinals have opened up as sizable underdogs for the trip to Winston Salem on Saturday.
Per Vegas Insider, Louisville has opened as 9.5 point underdogs to the Demon Deacons of Wake Forest. The money is apparently already coming in on Louisville as the line has dropped to 6.5 (Circa Sports & VI Consensus.
This is the first of three consecutive games against ranked teams as Wake Forest has climbed to No. 19 after a 5-0 start. The Cards will host No. 2 Clemson and No. 20 Virginia the following two weeks.
The Cards dropped to 3-2 on the year after Saturday’s 41-39 win. They closed as 4-point favorites in the two point win.
Despite no losses on the resume, Wake Forest is just 2-2-1 against the spread.
The Demon Deacons will be fresh off a bye week when the Cards come to town. Last time out they were 27-24 winners over Boston College, failing to cover the five point spread.
Beating Wake Forest on the road won’t be easy, but just knowing Scott Satterfield is carrying momentum into a match-up with a top twenty team is certainly exciting.
