Central Florida associate athletic director Joseph Hornstein was arrested on campus Friday night and charged with driving under the influence.
This has nothing to do with Louisville, but I think many Cardinal fans hate Central Florida, so I thought I would share.
Joseph Hornstein, an associate athletic director at the University of Central Florida, was arrested on campus early Friday on a charge of driving under the influence, records show.
An arrest report states that a UCF police officer pulled Hornstein over on campus about 12:25 a.m. Friday. The arresting officer noted that Hornstein, 39, had failed to stay in one lane.
The officer said Hornstein explained that he was looking for his girlfriend’s car after a leaving a concert at the UCF Arena, and had been taking directions from her when the officer saw him swerving.
His breath smelled of alcohol and his eyes were glassy, the officer reported. The report states that Hornstein told the officer he’d only had one 12-ounce beer, and rated his intoxication a 4 out of 10.
The officer said Hornstein stumbled climbing out of his car, using his hand “to steady himself against the car.” He later failed multiple DUI tests, and struggled with his balance, reports state.<
