Roughly 48-hours after telling the media that he was happy at Purdue, Jeff Brohm met with University of Louisville athletic director Vince Tyra in Central Indiana.

Jody Demling of CardinalAuthority.com joined 790 KRD at roughly 3:00 PM on Tuesday afternoon to report that Tyra and Brohm met and a decision from Brohm could come as soon as Wednesday.

Earlier today FootballScoop.com reported that the initial pitch from Louisville wasn’t exactly what Brohm was expecting. The report also stated that Brohm wasn’t the only attractive candidate that Vince Tyra had in mind.

I’m sure there was some truth to the report, but given that the two didn’t meet directly until Tuesday afternoon, it sounds like more the posturing stage of initial negotiations.

Brohm is clearly interested in the job. That doesn’t guarantee that he’ll leave Purdue for Louisville, but he’s had countless opportunities to close the door on this whole thing and he hasn’t done it yet. Hopefully Tyra was able to meet the demands.

We’ll keep you updated as more develops.
