With very few scholarships available Scott Satterfield and his staff will have to focus on filling specific positions of need as they try to assemble a last minute 2019 class.
With just two scholarship quarterbacks on the roster it’s not a surprise that two signal callers have surfaced on the radar for the new Louisville staff.
Evan Conley, a 6-foot-3 pro-style quarterback from Georgia is currently committed to Appalachian State, but will visit Louisville this weekend, per 247Sports.
Conley has been committed to App State since June. At that time the majority of his scholarship offers were from the FCS level.
Riley Neal, a graduate transfer from Ball State is expected to visit Louisville later this week, per Jody Demling of CardinalAuthority.com.
The 6-foot-5, 220-pound veteran quarterback is the third all time leading passer in Ball State history. Neal received a medical redshirt after playing just three games in 2017 due to injury.
In four years he completed 60 percent of his passes and threw for 7393 yards, with 46 touchdowns and 25 interceptions. Neal also ran 325 times for 1363 yards and 15 touchdowns in his career at Ball State.
Vanderbilt is also in the mix for Neal.<
