Twenty Former Louisville Cardinals Make Final NFL Rosters

With the 2017 NFL regular season just days away, all 32 teams have made the necessary cuts to complete their 53-man roster. A total of 20 former Louisville Cardinals made official rosters for the 2017 season. Two made teams, but were played on injured reserve while one made it through, but was placed on the physically unable to perform list.

Buffalo Bills: LB – Preston Brown, OL – John Miller, C – Eric Wood, TE – Keith Towbridge.

Chicago Bears: WR – Josh Bellamy

Cleveland Browns: LB – James Burgess, S – Calvin Pryor

Houston Texans: DL – Brandon Dunn, OL Breno Giacomini

LA Rams: OL – Jamon Brown

Miami Dolphins: WR – DeVante Parker, RB – Senorise Perry

Minnesota Vikings: QB – Teddy Bridgewater (PUP LIST)

New Orleans Saints: DL – Sheldon Rankins

New York Jets: LB – Lorenzo Mauldin (IR), RB – Bilal Powell

Pittsburgh Steelers: S – William Gay, WR – Eli Rogers

San Francisco 49ers: DE – Elvis Dumervil

Seattle Seahawks: DE – Marcus Smith

Tennessee Titans: WR – Harry Douglas (IR)

Washington Redskins: LB – Josh Harvey-Clemons

Notable Cuts

Colin Holba: The former Cardinal long snapper was taken in the sixth round by the Pittsburgh Steelers, but didn’t survive the last round of cuts.

James Quick: Signed as a free agent with the Washington Redskins and was one of the last players cut.

DeAngelo Brown: Signed as a free agent with the Tennessee Titans and was cut last week.

Brandon Radcliff: Signed with the Colts shortly after the draft, but was quickly cut. He later signed with the Tennessee Titans midway through training camp, but was cut last week.

Keith Kelsey: Signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Played in two preseason games for Pittsburgh collecting seven tackles, but was cut last week.

Cole Hikutini: After reportedly playing really well in practice, Hikutini didn’t get many opportunities throughout the preseason. He was one of the Niners last cuts, but was later added to their practice squad.

Jamari Staples: Landed an opportunity with the Washington Redskins in early August and played well in their final preseason game, but was one of their last cuts.
