The 6-foot-5, 170-pound, point guard is entering his junior season at Trinity High School. He is rated as a four-star prospect by Scout.com and is considered to be one of the top 30 overall players in the 2019 class.
Johnson picked up a scholarship offer from Rick Pitino in the spring. He also had scholarship offers from Cincinnati and Xavier. Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee and Virginia Tech were in the mix, but hadn’t offered yet.
Johnson averaged 14 points for the Shamrocks during his sophomore season and spent the spring and summer with the Louisville Magic AAU team. He’s coached by former Louisville big man Ellis Myles.
