Former Bowling Green star Justin Turner is the latest of 400 plus college basketball players that have decided to enter the transfer portal.
The 6-foot-4 guard reportedly heard from over 30 schools within an hour of entering the portal. This isn’t surprising, considering Turner’s credentials.
In 2019-20, Turner averaged 18.8 points and 4.5 rebounds for a Bowling Green team that went 21-10 and was the runner-up in the MAC.
As a true freshman Turner played in just four games due to an injury, therefore he received a medical redshirt. The Detroit native scored 1,580 points from 2017-20.
As of Sunday evening, UConn, Arkansas, Xavier, Gonzaga, Cincinnati, Missouri, Alabama, Marquette, Louisville, Arizona State, Oregon, Kansas and Texas Tech had reached out to Turner. I wouldn’t be surprised if the list has grown since then.
Turner is expected to be one of the top graduate transfers on the market this off-season.
Quinnipiac grad-transfer Kevin Marfo and Virginia Tech transfer Landers Nolley are also on Louisville’s radar.<
