Nearly one week after the findings from an FBI investigation into widespread college basketball scheme led to UofL’s Rick Pitino and Tom Jurich being placed on administrative leave, the future of the athletic department at the school is still unclear.
The University of Louisville’s athletic board voted unanimously to start the process of officially terminating Pitino on Monday afternoon. The school’s board of trustees also met on Monday to discuss the future of Tom Jurich, but his future still appears to be up in the air.
Interim President Greg Postel was vague following Monday’s BOT meeting, but did leave open the door for Jurich to return.

Postel also stated that he didn’t want to “drag this out,” however he said Jurich’s future will be discussed further later this month on the 18th at the next BOT meeting.
On Monday evening Tom Jurich’s attorney sent a letter to Postel.
