With signing day just two weeks away, the Louisville football program’s 2019 recruiting class is down to just eight commitments.

Sam Snyder, a three-star, tight end out of Fleming Island, Florida, is the latest to announce that he’s reopening his recruitment.

Snyder initially committed to Louisville in early July. His decommitment comes shortly after taking an official visit to Baylor. Snyder has also picked up offers from Rutgers Maryland and Wake Forest since committing to Louisville.

Whoever takes over the program will need to hit the ground running to re-recruit the current commitments and add more before signing day.

Fortunately, the class was expected to be small in 2019 after two large classes in 2017 and 2018, but Louisville will need more than eight for sure.
