According to sources, safety Terence Simien has returned to the Cardinal football team. The Sacramento native came to Louisville in 2009 by way of San Mateo junior college. In his first season with the Cards, Simien was named a starter, but suffered a life threatening injury in the third game of the season against Kentucky. Simien spent nearly a month in the hospital after lacerating his kidney. He returned to the field at the beginning of the 2010 season, but suffered another injury which left him out of action for two months. In two seasons with the program Simien has played in just six games.
I’m not exactly sure what the situation was when he decided to leave Louisville, but the good news is that he is back. If he can stay 100% healthy, he will add some solid depth to the secondary. Simien is a talented player that has just had some unfortunate luck with injuries over the past couple of seasons.<
