After meeting with new University of Tennessee coach Cuonzo Martin, Kevin Ware has been granted a release from his letter of intent. Ware had requested a release last week after UT fired head coach Bruce Pearl. Ware initially was told that before he could get a release he would need to meet with Martin. Although Ware has re-opened his recruiting he has not ruled out Tennessee just yet.
Ware tweeted this from his Twitter account earlier this afternoon
“I wanna thank coach Martin and UT for releasing me. I’m looking forward to the next couple of weeks and getting my recruiting process going
“Definitely consider Tennessee my No. 1 choice, I have no schools (in mind), but all options are open.”
Rivals ranks Ware as the 56th best player in the nation, which makes him one of the highest touted recruits left on the board. There will be many suitors for Ware, but with Tim Fuller on our side, I like our chances.<
