As expected, Louisville Cardinal big man Steven Enoch is expected to suit up in Tuesday night’s season opener at Miami.
Enoch missed the Cards lone exhibition game against Bellarmine last week due to a thigh bruise. Following the game Chris Mack made it seem as if the decision to hold out Enoch was more precautionary than anything else.
“He’s doing well,” Mack said on Monday afternoon when asked about Enoch. “I anticipate him playing.”
With Malik Williams still out with a foot injury, Enoch’s presence will be needed in a major way for the Cards as they open the season against Miami.
“He got knocked in the thigh a couple of times, once against Ohio State and a couple of times in practice,” Mack said last week when asked about the decision to not play Enoch against Bellarmine.
“His thigh sort of swelled up a little bit, but Fred (Hina) will do a great job and I don’t anticipate him being out when we start the season. And that’s the most important thing, not tonight.”<
