Samardo Improving His Draft Stock

Samardo Samuels seems to be raising his draft stock at the perfect time according to reporters in Jamaica.

Leonard Whtye of reported this info earlier this week.

According to news out of Jamaica, former University of Louisville forward, Samardo Samuels, is moving up in the 2010 National Basketball Association (NBA) Draft set for June 24, 2010 in New York City. The report also went on to say this came about after Samuels worked out for several NBA teams, including the Miami Heat, Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Chicago Bulls, Milwaukee Bucks, San Antonio Spurs, and Minnesota Timberwolves, some of which have requested a second workout. Samuels surprised everyone, including Cardinal’s coach Rick Pitino, when he left school two years early to enter the NBA draft. The anonymous source also stated that the 6 9, power player is presently projected to be drafted somewhere after the 19th pick in the first round.

I personally wish Samardo the best but in my opinion this guy has a whole lot of work to do if he wants to make it in the NBA…But maybe these scouts and GM’s are seeing something I never saw in his 2 year career here at Louisville.

NBADRAFT.NET currently has Samardo going in the second round at the 40th over all selection to the Indiana Pacers & DRAFTEXPRESS.COMhas him going at pick #45 to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Samuels must be doing something right. Up until the last 24 hours Samardo was not on anyone’s radar as far as the mainstream mock draft sites.

Take it for what it is but the some of these mock draft sites are surprisingly accurate.
