Before Lamar Jackson became college football’s most exciting player he was a human highlight reel at the high school level. One of Jackson’s most impressive plays from his days at Boynton Beach High School went viral. I’d be willing to be a lot of people have seen this clip and didn’t realize until years later that it was Lamar Jackson.
Earlier this week the official Nike Football Twitter account shared a promotional video clip for their new Nike Alpha Menace Elite cleats.
Russell Wilson is featured in the commercial and towards the end of the clip he executes nearly the same exact move that Jackson made famous as a high school star.
Put ’em on ⛸⛸ like @DangeRussWilson in the new Nike Alpha Menace Elite.

We’ll never know for sure, but I have a hard time believing Nike didn’t see Jackson’s move from the fall of 2014 before putting the commercial together.
Even Lamar Jackson himself has acknowledged the two plays are pretty similar.
😂😂🤔That last move look familiar https://t.co/mssdFjogGI
