During Sunday’s press conference Vince Tyra said that he spoke with Jordan Travis and Russ Yeast when they decided to transfer, but noted that both players are still enrolled and may not be gone for good.
One of the two has already made his way back to Louisville and re-joined the program.
Russ Yeast is believed to have traveled back to his home in the Indianapolis area last week after making the decision to transfer. Yeast was back in Louisville on Sunday evening and attended the team dinner.
The Courier-Journal reports that Yeast is expected to practice this week.
Yeast was one of the top signees for Louisville’s 2017 class. The Indiana native was rated as a four-star prospect and chose the Cards over offers from Alabama, Auburn, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Nebraska and Ole Miss, among others.
I’d say it’s unlikely that Travis makes the same decision, but Vince Tyra made it pretty clear that he’s working on re-recruiting the current roster and I wouldn’t count him out. Vince has proven to be a pretty good salesman thus far.<
