Rodney Purvis and two of his AAU teammates will be unofficially visiting the University of Missouri this afternoon. Purvis will be joined by Tyrek Coger and Greg McClinton. Coger is a 6-8 230 lb. forward who verbally committed to Frank Haith and Missouri last month. He is a member of the 2013 class. Coger is a teammate of Purvis’s at Upper Room Christian, and with the CP3 All Stars AAU club. McClinton is a 6’6 180 lb. small forward. He is also a member of the 2013 class. McClinton currently has offers from Miami, Missouri, South Carolina, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, and Xavier.
I still think Purvis ending up at Mizzou is a long shot, but as long as Tim Fuller is employed there, the Tigers have a shot. Fuller has been aggressively recruiting quite a few prospects from the North Carolina area this spring.
