FootballScoop.com reports that Scott Satterfield is planning to bring back two former Bobby Petrino assistants to join his staff at Louisville.

Louisville: Source tells FootballScoop Scott Satterfield is planning to bring two strong recruiters back to Louisville, hiring both Cort Dennison and Stephen Field away from Oregon. Sources tell us Dennison is expected to coach outside linebackers at Louisville while Field is expected to oversee recruiting. Before being hired by Mario Cristobal, Dennison was Louisville’s inside linebackers / recruiting coordinator. Field spent 2017 as Louisville’s director of high school relations. Dennison, we’re told, is a done deal. Field has been offered the position at Louisville; but sources tell us he has not finalized his decision.

If this happens, I’d say it’s a home-run for Scott Satterfield.

Despite the disastrous 2018 season, Louisville recently brought in two of their best classes in program history. The 2018 class ranked 30th nationally and the 2017 class ranked 34th. Dennison and Field played a big role in putting together both classes.
