Bobby Petrino met with the media on Monday afternoon for his first pre-game press conference of the 2017 season. Unfortunately, Coach Petrino has some bad news to share.
Junior wide receiver Devante Peete has suffered an injury and will miss the entire 2017 season. Peete was entering his second season as a special teams captain.
The Florida native had four catches for 70 yards last season and 12 catches for 166 yards and a touchdown as a true freshman. At 6’6, Peete was one of Lamar Jackson’s tallest targets.
Fortunately, Peete has yet to redshirt, therefore after sitting out in 2017, he’ll still have two years of eligibility remaining in 2018.
