Former Cardinal and Louisville native Ray Spalding is taking full advantage of a recent minutes increase with the Phoenix Suns.

With the regular season wrapping up Spalding has been given a an opportunity to see a lot more action in Phoenix. In the past three games Spalding is averaging 12.3 points, 6.6 rebounds in 19-minutes per contest.

Spalding posted his first double-double in Friday night’s win over the New Orleans Pelicans, finishing with 21-points, 13-rebounds and three blocks.

Spalding was waived by the Dallas Mavericks last month, but later signed a two-year deal with Phoenix with a partial guarantee for next season.
