Quentin Snider Inks Pro Deal With Portugal Club

Former Cardinal Quentin Snider has signed his first professional contract.

The Louisville native will begin his pro career in Portugal.

SL Benfica of Portugal’s top professional league announced on Wednesday morning that they’ve signed Snider to a deal.

“In my rookie year, my expectations are to learn from the rest of the team , get to know them well and try to win every game, ” Snider said in an official statement released on the team’s website.

“I’ve heard of Sport Lisboa e Benfica through a friend [Chris Dowe] who played in the Portuguese League, I know that he is the best team in the sport, ” he said.

“I see myself as a very competitive team player with an ever-winning thinking.”

Benfica won the LPB regular season title last season with a 26-6 record. Their season opener for 2018 is set for October 6.
