Pettiford’s commitment comes within roughly a month of him landing a scholarship offer from Chris Mack and the Louisville staff.
Due to the pandemic, Pettiford still hasn’t taken a visit to Louisville, but he’s kept in touch with Chris Mack with the past few weeks and participated in a virtual visit in late April.
Pettiford chose Louisville over Virginia Tech, Ole Miss and Providence.
247Sports recently updated Pettiford’s ranking, bumping him up to 92nd nationally and he’s now a four-star prospect.
The North Carolina native is ranked 147th nationally and is a three-star prospect in the composite rankings.
Pettiford joins four-star forward Bryce Hopkins to make up Louisville’s current two man 2021 recruiting class. With the latest commitment, Louisville’s class ranks fifth nationally.<
