Those who following Louisville Cardinal football recruiting are familiar with the name Jawon Pass. The Columbus, GA., native has been a top target for Bobby Petrino’s staff for quite some time.
Pass is the younger brother of Cardinal freshman wide receiver Kane Pass. Louisville has long been considered to be one of the favorites for Pass, but they’ve got some stiff competition.
The four star prospect is considered to be one of the top dual-threat quarterbacks in the country.
Pass trimmed his list to three over the weekend with Louisville making the cut. The only problem is that they’ll have to compete with Nick Saban and Gus Malzahn.
Pass informs Scout.com that his final three schools are Alabama, Auburn and Louisville, in no particular order. He plans to make his college decision on July, 16.
He was previously considering North Carolina and Virginia Tech.
Petrino’s 2016 class is already pretty strong, but the addition of Pass would be a game changer. I’ve always felt that Louisville was the favorite, but it won’t be easy to beat out Auburn and Alabama.<
