With the NBA draft early-entrant deadline less than 48-hours away ‘Nwora Watch” is heating up for Louisville fans.
With Jordan Nwora back for his junior season Chris Mack could have a preseason top five team on his hands in just his second year leading the program.
As of Tuesday morning Nwora has yet to make a decision and I’d say we likely won’t hear a final decision until close to Wednesdays midnight deadline.
During the NBA draft combine earlier this month Nwora maintained he was “50-50” on returning to school or keeping his name in the draft.
A minor injury kept Nwora from working out for teams early in the process and he wasn’t able to participate in drills or scrimmages during the combine.
Nwora’s decision is tough to predict for a variety of reasons. Getting feedback during the process is key, but with the injury keeping him from working out, NBA personnel hasn’t been able to see anything to provide the feedback.
According to Jordan Schultz of ESPN, Nwora was healthy enough for a workout with the Los Angles Clippers on Monday and will be part of a Pro Day in Los Angeles today.
Nwora agent tells Danielle Lerner of the Courier-Journal that his client is one of 30 players that will workout in front of “over 100” NBA execs, coaches, scouts and journalists during the BDA Management Pro Day. He also says that Nwora’s decision isn’t expected until Wednesday.<
