Jeff Goodman of FoxSports.com is reporting that Louisville assistant coach Steve Masiello has accepted the head coaching position at Manhattan.
Masiello interviewed for the position last week, but Manhattan eventually offered the job to Long Island head coach Jim Ferry. After thinking it over for a couple of days, Ferry turned down the offer.
As much as I’d love to keep Masiello here in Louisville, there is no doubt he deserves a shot at being a head coach.
Richard Pitino, or John Pelphrey could possibly replace Masiello.<
