Former Louisville big man Mangok Mathiang has reportedly inked a deal with the Charlotte Hornets.
According to the Charlotte Observer, Mathiang has been signed to a two-way contract with Charlotte.
A two-way contract is a new NBA deal that allows teams to use players a certain number of games at the NBA level while sending them to the developmental league for the remainder of the season.
Mathiang played for the Hornets in the NBA Summer League and made a strong impression. He averaged 4.4 points and five rebounds in five games and shot 53.3 percent. Those numbers don’t look all that impressive, but he only played 17 minutes per game.
