Scott Satterfield will be road favorites in conference play for the first time this season as they travel to North Carolina State on Saturday.
Per Vegas Insider, Louisville opened as 4 point favorites over the Wolfpack. The line is now Louisville -4.5 at the MGM Sportsbook.
Louisville dropped to 5-4 against the spread over the weekend with a 52-27 loss at Miami, failing to cover 6.5.
As for North Carolina State, they’re now 3-6 against the spread, losing to Clemson 52-10, failing to cover 35-points.
With a 4-5 record the Wolfpack still have a chance to become bowl eligible, but they’re certainly trending in the wrong direction. They’ve lost four of five games and their lone ACC win came against Syracuse who still hasn’t won a game.
The four teams NC State has beaten have a combined record of 13-24.
As bad as NC State may be, Louisville clearly needs to be a lot better on Saturday. The Cards have a small margin of error regardless of the opponent. They’ll have a tough time beating any of the three remaining opponents with 14 penalties for 121 yards and three turnovers.
Louisville and NC State will kickoff at 7:30 on the ACC Network.<
