As expected, the Louisville Cardinals will be massive underdogs when they kickoff the 2018 season against the defending national champions in Orlando this weekend.
Per Vegas Insider, the Cards opened as 25.5 point underdogs in Saturday’s match-up with the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Since the line was released on Sunday, it’s already down to 24-points at the WestGate and Wynn sports books.
5Dimes released a spread in January that had Louisville as 26-point underdogs. By April it had jumped to 31-points.
To be fair, Alabama was going to be favored regardless who played in week one.
The spread says a lot more about Bama than it does the Cards. The Crimson Tide have been favorites in 111 of their previous 112 games and haven’t been an underdog in a regular season since 2008.
