After striking out on a handful of their top targets from the 2020 class Chris Mack and his staff have shifted attention to four-star big man Gethro Muscadin.
It’s hard to know where Muscadin ranks on the class of 2020 wish list, but he picked up an offer and has taken two visits to Louisville in recent weeks, therefore I’d say he’s a top target.
The 6-foot-10 center is originally from Haiti, but currently resides in Louisville where he attends Aspire Academy. Chris Mack offered Muscadin a scholarship two days before his Sept. 27 official visit for Louisville live. He was in attendance for an unofficial visit over the weekend during the Red-White scrimmage.
Prior to Louisville’s involvement, Minnesota, Kansas Kansas State and Texas Tech appeared to be the leaders Muscadin. On Tuesday he announced that he’d make his choice on Nov. 1 and it appears he’ll be choosing between those four schools.
I’ll be committing November 1st ‼️

UNLV, Memphis, New Mexico, VCU and UConn were previously being considered.
The 247Sports composite rankings have Muscadin as the 16th best center in the 2020 class and the 123rd best overall prospect.
“I really compete,” Muscadin said when asked by RedRaiderSprots.com about his strengths. I like to work hard. I have a lot of skills. I can push the ball down and make some plays. I really try to help my team to win, that’s all I care about. My biggest strengths would be how hard I run (the floor). I can pass it, rebound, block shots, and shoot it, too.”
Top ranked JUCO prospect Jay Scrubb is currently Louisville’s lone commitment from the 2020 class.<
