Solomon Poole, a 4-star combo guard from Jacksonville, Florida, will miss the remainder of the 2012 season because of an FHSAA-imposed suspension following two ejections from a game this season. Poole was ejected from last Friday’s game after he was issued a second technical foul. Poole received his first technical for profanity.
According to a report filed by game officials and confirmed by the FHSAA, Poole continued to use profanity toward the officials after taking a seat on bench. He was hit with a second technical for the profanity and for purposely squirting water from a water bottle out on the floor during the game.
This ejection follows one that took place Nov. 15 during his Parker High School team’s game at White High School. The junior guard was ejected from that game, also due to profanity. He was given a two-game suspension following that incident. The FHSAA sent Parker High School officials a letter on Monday imposing the sanctions on Poole.
Rivals.com claims that Poole holds a scholarship offer from Louisville, but from what I understand, he has not been offered just yet. Poole took an unofficial visit to Louisville in early October and was very impressed. Richard Pitino has been pursuing Poole since he was hired at Louisville over the summer. Poole was an AAU teammate of Kevin Ware and is the younger brother of former Kentucky guard Stacy Poole.
