With a loaded 2019 recruiting class signed, sealed and soon to be delivered Chris Mack and his staff have shifted their attention to the 2020 class.
It’s still a little early to know who the top targets for Louisville are in the 2020 class, but the latest scholarship offer went to a homegrown prospect.
Jody Demling of CardinalAuthority.com reports that Jay Scrubb, a 6-foot-5 guard from Louisville picked up an offer from Coach Mack following an official visit.
Scrubb graduated from Trinity High School in 2018 before enrolling at John Logan College where he became a JUCO All American.
The Louisville native has one more year of JUCO before he can transfer to a four-year school. Scrubb is expected to be one of the top JUCO prospects in the 2020 class after averaging 19.5 points, 8.6 rebounds and shot 46 percent from three-point range. Scrubb is the only JUCO player to earn an invite to try out for the USA Basketball U-19 World Cup team.
Scrubb also has scholarship offers from Alabama, Cincinnati, Iowa State, VCU, Wichita State and Xavier, among other lower level D1 programs.<
