Class of 2020 five-star combo guard Caleb Love is one of the top targets on Chris Mack’s recruiting board as he would become the first PG recruit to join Mack’s program at Louisville via the standard recruiting path.
Mack has relied on the graduate-transfer path to add point guards in the past two years with Christen Cunningham last season and now Lamar “Fresh” Kimble.
Love has 26 offers so far in his recruitment and recently trimmed his list to five with Louisville making the cut. The Missouri native is also considering Kansas, North Carolina, Arizona, Indiana and Mizzou.+
In a conversation with Corey Evans of Rivals Love says he’ll visit Louisville or ‘Louisville Live’ in Sept. and that Mack’s staff is selling him on coming in and being a point guard for a championship caliber team.

Louisville: “They have just said that they want to put the ball in my hands immediately and they don’t have a real point guard right now, I think that they have a grad-transfer (Lamarr Kimble), he is going to be a senior, so they want for me to come in and be that lead point guard and lead them to a national championship and they said they are going to help me get to be a one-and-done so that is what I am intrigued about.”
