When you’re in the midst of a disastrous season like Louisville currently is, the de-commitments will start to pile up.
That’s exactly what is happening for Bobby Petrino and his staff.
Last week it was offensive lineman Jamari Williams and JUCO tight end Austin Griffin that decided to reopen their recruitment. On Monday it was three-star defensive lineman Kristian Varner.

It’s safe to say that Louisville’s lack of success in 2018 certainly played a role in Varner’s decision, but he’s also picked up more options since initially committing to Louisville. Tennessee, Boston College, Georgia Tech, Iowa State, and Missouri have since offered the Georgia native.
Bobby Petrino’s staff is now down to just ten commitments from the 2019 recruiting class.<
