The latest recruit from the 2020 class to receive a scholarship offer from Chris Mack has a strong connection to the Louisville program.
J.J. Traynor,a 6-foot-8 forward out of Bardstown, Kentucky, has reportedly picked up a scholarship offer from Chris Mack.
Traynor is the son of former Louisville forward Jason Osborne who played for the Cards in the mid nineties and was a high school phenom at Louisville Male earning Kentucky Mr. Basketball honors in 1993. Traynor is coached by former Cardinal James “Boo” Brewer at Bardstown High School.
The scholarship offer comes after Traynor has made multiple unofficial visits and took an official visit for Louisville Live. The Louisville staff has been in to see Traynor work out multiple times over the last few weeks.
After a sensational spring/summer showing on the AAU circuit with the Louisville Legends, Traynor went from a mid-major recruit to generating interest from some of the top programs in the country. Traynor is a four-star prospect and ranked as the 80th best player in the 2020 class in the 247Sports composite rankings.
Cincinnati, DePaul, Missouri, Western Kentucky and Xavier are Traynor’s other notable offers. Kentucky has expressed interest and Traynor unofficially visited for their Midnight Madness event but he hasn’t<
