Melton is listed as a tight end in the 247Sports database, but also played running back for Deer Valley High School.
The Arizona native is expected to have an H-Back role in Scott Satterfield’s offense.
Melton’s commitment comes a few days after taking an official visit to Louisville.
He chose the Cards over offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Nebraska, Iowa State, Northern Arizona and San Diego State.<
