Scott Satterfield and his staff have reportedly added another offensive weapon for the 2020 season via the transfer market.
Jody Demling of Cardinal Authority reports that former North Carolina receiver Roscoe Johnson will transfer to Louisville for his final season of eligibility.
Johnson decided to transfer from UNC following the 2019 season where he saw limited reps as a reserve. The South Carolina native played receiver in two games last season, against Mercer and N.C. State.
The 6-foot-1, receiver, made two catches for 39 yards against the Wolfpack, his only receiving numbers for the 2019 season. Johnson played in nine games on special teams in 2019.
In there seasons Johnson totaled 14 receptions for 157 yards in Chapel Hill.
Johnson was recruited to North Carolina a few years ago by Louisville wide receivers coach Gunter Brewer, who previously held the same position at UNC.
The Cards have some star power returning at the receiver position with Tutu Atwell and Dez Fitzpatrick, but outside of those two, there are only two other receivers returning that caught a pass last year. With that said, Johnson should provide some needed experience.<
