Persistence has paid off for Scott Satterfield’s staff.
After a few unsuccessful attempts at landing a player on the graduate transfer market, Louisville has secured a commitment from an experienced offensive lineman from the SEC.
Grad-transfer T.J. McCoy, a 6-foot-2, 305-pound, center who most recently played at Florida will use his final year of eligibility.
Jody Demling of CardinalAuthority.com broke the story.
McCoy initially signed and enrolled early at North Carolina State in 2015, but decided to transfer to Florida before playing a game for the Wolfpack.
The Florida native started nine games for the Gators in 2017 before suffering a season ending knee injury. In 2018 his role diminished under Dan Mullen.
McCoy will be eligible to play right away.<
