Louisville Hoops: Ranking All 11 Non-Conference Opponents

At first glance it’s I think it’s pretty clear that this year’s Louisville hoops schedule isn’t nearly as challenging as it was in Chris Mack’s debut season.

Last year the Cards had non-conference match-ups with Tennessee, Michigan State, Marquette, Seton Hall, and Kentucky. All five teams spent a good chunk of the season in the top 20. Respectable mid-major programs Vermont, Lipscomb and Kent State were also on the schedule and all three won more than twenty games.

This year the Cards have a few big time non-conference challenges, but the bottom of the schedule is as bad as it’s been in quite some time.

Using KenPom ranking, preseason conference ranking and Sports Illustrated’s full 353 division one rankings here is where all eleven non-conference opponents rank.
