Strength of schedule is one of the most important components to a team’s NCAA tournament resume. With just two games left in the regular season, it’s safe to say Rick Pitino and the Louisville Cardinals strength of schedule ranking won’t be a problem.
According to CBS Sports, Louisville’s strength of schedule is now ranked No. 1.

With two games remaining Louisville’s RPI is at No. 4. The Cards have a 6-6 record against teams with a top 50 RPI, including three wins over the top twenty (No. 7 Kentucky, No. 13 Duke & No. 20 Purdue).
The most impressive aspect of Louisville’s tournament resume may be the quality of their six losses. All six teams that beat Louisville were ranked at the time of the game and are still currently ranked in the top 25 of the AP Poll. Louisville is the only team in the country that doesn’t have a loss to an unranked team.<
