The Louisville football program has added some much needed depth on the defensive side of the ball for the debut season of the Scott Satterfield era.
Ty Tyler, a 6-foot-3, 262-pound, linebacker who recently transferred from Marshall announced that he’ll finish his career at Louisville. Tyler recently graduated which means he’ll be eligible right away in 2019.

Tyler chose Louisville over Virginia Tech, Texas Tech, Central Florida, and South Florida, among others.
In three years at Marshall Tyler had 91 tackles, 21 tackles for a loss and 13.5 sacks. Louisville fans may remember Tyler for forcing a fumble, recovering and then returning it for a touchdown when the Cards played at Marshall in 2016. Tyler earned second team All Conference USA honors in 2018.<
