The momentum for the Louisville Cardinal football program on the recruiting trail appears to be at an all time high. Bobby Petrino and his staff have picked up five commitments from the 2018 class in the past three days.
On Saturday dual-threat quarterback Jordan Travis verbally pledged to the Cards and on Sunday a total of three defensive lineman announced their verbal commitment to UofL. On Monday afternoon Murfreesboro, Tennessee, athlete Jarek Campbell was added to the class of 2018 commitment list.
Campbell attends Riverdale High School and is rated as a three-star prospect. At 5-11, 185-pounds, Campbell played both wide receiver and safety at the prep level.
Defensive coordinator Peter Sirmon was the lead recruiting for the Tennessee native. Campbell’s other notable offers include Tennessee, Kentucky and Memphis.
