Rick Pitino and his staff are off to a great start with their 2018 recruiting class. UofL landed verbal commitments from guards Anfernee Simons and Courtney Ramey during the 2016-17 season.
Last week we highlighted Simons’ big weekend in New York City at the Under Armour AAU event. This past weekend it was Ramey who put on a show at the adidas Uprising event in Atlanta, Georgia.

Ramey played in front of Rick Pitino on Friday night as his Ramey Jets team took on 22 Vision, which features UofL’s top target Romeo Langford. Both had solid games, but Ramey’s team won as he finished with 19 points, six rebounds and three assists.
Prior to the first two open evaluation periods, Ramey was ranked as the 19th best overall player in the 2018 class by Scout.com, but I’d expect him to climb in the updated rankings.
In five games this spring on the adidas circuit Ramey is averaging 16.4 points, 5 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.4 steals and is shooting 51.2% from the field.
