Scott Satterfield and his staff have added some defensive depth for the upcoming season.
On Tuesday evening Louisville a commitment from Ellisville, Miss., Jones College linebacker KJ Cloyd.
The Mississippi native is a member of the 2021 class but was a full qualifier out of high school, meaning he can enroll at a four year school in 2020 with three years of eligibility left.
Cloyd is expected to enroll at the University of Louisville soon and will suit up for the Cards this season.
The 6-foot-2, 215-pound, three-star prospect is ranked as the 2nd best outside linebacker in the junior college ranks.
Cloyd chose Louisville over power five offers from Arizona, Arkansas, Minnesota, Ole Miss, Southern Miss, Troy, and Texas Tech.
Props to inside linebackers coach Derek Nicholson who played a major role in Cloyd’s recruitment.<
