Cardinal Basketball

Let’s Talk Romeo Langford

The Louisville area isn’t exactly known has a hotbed for high level college basketball prospects. Fortunately, Rick Pitino and his staff have done a good job at landing the few highly regarded recruits from this area.

Over the past couple of years New Albany native Romeo Langford has emerged as the highest rated recruit from this area in a very long time. As you could expect, Rick Pitino and his staff have made Langford a top priority, but they’ve got some tough competition. Langford is also being recruited by Kentucky, Duke, Indiana, Kansas and North Carolina, among others.

It seems that most Louisville fans don’t feel confident that Langford will become a Cardinal, but personally I think Pitino has a much better shot at landing Romeo than most realize.

Here is the segment from Wednesday’s edition of The Red Zone discussing Romeo Langford’s recruitment. Listen Here.

Probably so! I would like to see him play for the Cats or Cards. Keep local talent here. Friends don’t let recruits go to IU. Lol

I don’t think his parents will let him just go for 1 year. I really think they want him to get an education
