Louisville legend Lamar Jackson is still unbeaten as a starting quarterback in the National Football League.
Jackson guided the Ravens to their third straight win on Sunday afternoon as they knocked off the Atlanta Falcons 26-16 on the road.
The former Cardinal is still far from a finished product and still has work to do, but the Ravens are winning and their offense has been better with Jackson under center. I’d say the Ravens staff is willing to let Jackson work through some growing pains if they can continue collecting wins along the way.
In the win over Atlanta, Jackson completed 12-of-21 passes for 125 yards and ran for 75 yards with one touchdown. As mentioned, Baltimore’s results have been better all around since Jackson stepped in while Flacco recovers from a hip injury.
Ravens with Joe Flacco
23.6 Points Per Game
366.5 Yards Per Game
Ravens with Lamar Jackson
28 Points Per Game
395 Yards Per Game
It’s unclear what Baltimore will decide to do once Flacco is back to 100%. Jackson’s post game comments make it seem that starting isn’t necessarily his focus at the moment.
“Man, I just have to keep working man,” Jackson said. “You know, there’s always room for improvement and I don’t feel like I’m at the top of my game yet. So I’m gonna keep working.”<
