With two weeks remaining in Lamar Jackson’s first season as a full time starter, Lamar Jackson has broke the NFL record for rushing yards in a season by a quarterback.
Entering Thursday night’s game against the New York Jets, Jackson had 1,017 yards on the ground and needed 23 to break the record.
Jackson’s record-breaking run was his third carry of the opening drive that went for five yards.
Jackson previously joined Vick as the only quarterbacks in the NFL’s 100-year history to have rushed for 1,000 yards in a season. The former Cardinal has surpassed 100 yards rushing in four games, which is an NFL record.
This was published at halftime, which means Jackson has done all of this before completing the 22nd start of his NFL career.<
