Scott Satterfield and the Louisville Cardinals will be without a valuable weapon for the remainder of the season.
Veteran kicker Blanton Creque suffered a torn ACL in the fourth quarter of Saturday’s win over Virginia and was officially ruled out for the remainder of the year on Monday afternoon.
Creque needed to be helped off the field after he tried to make a tackle on a late kickoff.
The Shelby County native had converted 8 of 11 field goal attempts this season and is the most accurate kicker in program history.
Sophomore Ryan Chalifoux replaced Creque late in Saturday’s game with PAT duties while freshman James Turner handled kickoffs.<
