Future Cardinal Josh Nickelberry should see a climb in the updated rankings after getting off to a sensational start to his senior campaign with Northwood Temple Academy.
Nickelberry exploded for 75-points in two games to start the season and he’s been on an absolute tear every since.
With an average of 32.1 ppg, he is on pace to score more than 3,000 career points. The North Carolina native is a flat-out scorer. The kid simply gets buckets. Nickelberry has a chance to become one of the Tarheel state’s all time leading scorers.
Nickelberry didn’t have a great showing on the summer circuit which resulted in him falling in the rankings, but as mentioned, I expect he’ll see a bump here soon.
“His belief in our vision for both him and the program spoke volumes,” Chris Mack said of Nickelberry on signing day.
“It energized the fan base, our coaching staff and his future 2019 teammates. As a player, Josh is an extremely athletic combo guard with dead-eye shooting ability. I believe he can be a prolific shooter at the college level. His athleticism and toughness will allow him to defend at a high level for us on the perimeter. Josh is a high energy player who competes with intensity every time he steps on the floor. I can’t wait to coach him.”<
